ASMS GAB780 Block Blend is a blend of granulated and air-cooled blast furnace slags and is a coarse sand-like material consisting of angular to roughly cubical shaped particles with a characteristically vesicular structure and rough surface texture.


APPLICATIONS

GAB780 is predominantly used in a block manufacture.


COMPOSITION AND MATERIALS

GAB780 is a blend of graded air-cooled blast furnace slag and granulated blast furnace slag.

Blast furnace slag is the non-metallic product consisting essentially of silicates and aluminosilicates of calcium and other bases developed in a molten condition simultaneously with iron in a blast furnace.

Air-cooled blast furnace slag is a predominantly crystalline, solid rock-like material. Granulated blast furnace slag is a glassy, granular product.
